A fresh breath of air
Pinnacle is a peak flow meter which measures the patient’s maximum speed of expiration, or peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR or PEF). The Pinnacle Peak Flow Meter helps asthma patients breathe more freely. Measuring both PEFR and PEF, it provides doctors with important insight into the severity and development of the condition, making it easier to prescribe adequate treatment. Made from medical grade polymers and stainless steel, the Pinnacle is a durable, reliable and easy-to-use device that is used worldwide to help give asthma patients a fresh breath of air.
Peak flow readings are higher when patients are well, and lower when the airways are constricted. From changes in recorded values, patients and doctors may determine lung functionality, severity of asthma symptoms, and treatment options.
People with asthma may benefit from regular peak flow monitoring. When peak flow is being monitored regularly, the results may be recorded on a monthly peak flow chart (supplied with Pinnacle).
The Pinnacle peak flow meter family is now used worldwide. It was designed specifically to meet and exceed demanding new International Standards.

Key Features

Phototherapy positioning aid
Effectiveness – combined with security and stability with our Bilitex positioning aid specifically developed for phototherapy. The little patients are prone to stretch patterns and nervous movements, particularly during therapeutic phases. This is due to lack of muscle tone and the unbounded surroundings, which cost a lot of energy. With the Bilitex positioning aid, the preemie experiences a secure and flexible environment during therapy, which allows the infant to adopt a relaxing position.
The innovative textile material features a special mesh structure with 85% permeability to the high-intensity radiation spectrum. In addition, the knit fabric is very soft and breathable – the desired size can be individually adjusted using a flexible closure (Velcro®). The product is developed in cooperation with the University Hospital in Tubingen. It is tested and certified according to Oeko-Tex®Standard 100.

IncuCap® – Innovative incubator cover made of a High-Tex material
IncuCap® is made of a 3-layered functional specialty knit fabric. A highly elastic, breathable membrane in the core assures the incubator cover’s imperviousness to light. The 3D knit spacing fabric underneath ensures optimum noise attenuation, provides an anti-slip effect, and permanently retains the cover’s shape. Additionally, the material is characterized by low weight.
IncuCap® has been tested and certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, is bi-elastic, breathable, washable up to 95 °C and suitable for tumble-drying. The anti-slip (silicone) interior lining is neutral so that the child can be evaluated without any interfering influences. Access to the infant is flexible and ensured by 4 side and 2 head/foot flaps. Optionally available with an opening flap for phototherapy lamps, including magnetic openings as an option.

Reliable respiration monitoring
The SISS BABYCONTROL monitors respiration of babies and infants and can thus provide reliable assistance against «Sudden Infant Death». High reliability, simple operation and convenient size make the SISS BABYCONTROL® a universally applicable instrument for baby monitoring in hospitals or at home.
Being prepared
Still today, “Sudden Infant Death” is an unforeseeable occurrence. 80% of the affected infants are entirely healthy beforehand. Only 20% are from so-called risk groups (former premature births or babies already suffering from life-threatening conditions or with a «Sudden Infant Death» among close relatives). Only a prompt alarm in the event of irregularities provides the chance to apply life-saving measures within the shortest possible time. Such measures should be learned beforehand in special courses.
