Solution for continuous core temperature monitoring
The temperature variable is a key indicator of the patient’s febrile state. The continuous nature of the measurement is quite difficult to obtain and only a few restrictive devices (rectal, esophageal probes, etc.) allow continuous core temperature monitoring.
eCelsius Medical, class IIB medical device, is a miniaturized electronic ingestible capsule that transmits core temperature data continuously. The capsule communicates in real time with a dedicated monitor, e-Viewer Medical, at a sampling period of 30 seconds. This monitor allows data recording, and an alert may be triggered if a threshold has been exceeded. The communication distance between the capsule and the monitor ranges from 1 to 3m (depending on environment and patient).
The capsule also has its own memory. In the case of a communication disruption between the monitor and the capsule, an a posteriori automatic synchronization of the data is performed.

The eCelsius medical solution allows continuous core temperature monitoring to diagnose or control the patient’s febrile state. The capsule is removed on the natural way; the operational lifetime corresponds thus to the transit time (24-48h on average). The capsule is a single-use device delivered sterile and in a stand-by mode. An activation box allows you to associate the e-Celsius® Medical capsule with the e-Viewer® Medical monitor. A single monitor can manage up to three capsules simultaneously for mid/long term uses.
A dedicated interface, PC and MAC compatible, retrieves data for archiving or clinical use. Three main applications will be firstly covered: infectious diseases, oncology and sleep disorders.
Infectiology
Temperature monitoring in infectiology is critically important; fever is indeed a fundamental clinical sign facilitating the implementation of an early and appropriate therapy.
Continuous core temperature monitoring, without human intervention, make possible to reduce medical response times and improve diagnosis reliability, patient comfort and patient care.
Cancerology
Early detection of peak fever is critical for patients treated with chemotherapy and presenting a high risk of febrile illness (aplasia, febrile neutropenia, …). The possibility to continuously monitor the evolution of the temperature variable allows to early detect fever pic and thereby reduce the response time for medical staff.
Sleep
The core temperature is a key indicator of the biological rhythmicity of the subjects. Continuous monitoring of this variable allows to characterize the circadian rhythm of the core temperature, which is an essential tool for sleep analysis and the diagnosis of sleep disorders.

Delivering Confidence and Simplicity during Neuromuscular Blockade
TetraGraph is a quantitative neuromuscular transmission monitor based on electromyography (EMG). The TetraGraph monitor stimulates, measures, analyzes and displays muscle function in surgical patients receiving neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs). NMBAs are used in almost 50% of surgical cases. Inadequate reversal of NMBAs can lead to residual neuromuscular blockade (RNMB). RNMB delays recovery and can lead to life-threatening complications. To prevent complications, quantitative neuromuscular monitoring is rapidly becoming the standard of care when NMBAs are administered.

The dual-valved LiteAire MDI holding chamber: Collapsible, disposable paperboard design.
The LiteAire® collapsible MDI holding chamber is a unique MDI holding chamber and an innovative alternative. LiteAire’s unique dual-valved MDI holding chamber design delivers pop-up convenience and effective drug output at a fraction of the cost of most plastic holding chambers. In many clinical settings, the LiteAire can reduce costs by replacing existing rigid plastic holding chambers or inefficient spacers with a paperboard alternative. The unique design allows the LiteAire to be reused by a patient over multiple doses and meets and often exceeds the performance of plastic holding chambers.
Gentle respiratory support to neonates worldwide
For over two decades, the Infant Flow™ nCPAP system has delivered gentle respiratory support to thousands of neonates worldwide. The system, combined with the patented variable flow generator, provides NPPV by offering nasal CPAP and Biphasic modalities. The system takes the work out of breathing, freeing precious calories to be used for growth and development.
